Do you accept insurance?

The Grieving Space is not in network with any insurance providers, so payment is due at the time of service. However, I encourage you to reach out to discuss situation and explore what options may be best for your family.

How much are your services?

The cost of services varies based on the type of service and location. Please see the breakdown below for details. We believe that child life services should be available to all children and their families regardless of financial capabilities. Therefore, sliding scale rates may be available for families with financial need.

1:1 Child Life Sessions

Initial Caregiver Intake (virtual) + Free Child Intake (in-person): $140
Individual Child Session (In-office): $120
Individual Child Session (alternate location): pricing varies based on location and travel time
Child + Sibling(s) Session (In-office) $160

Caregiver Support Calls

Virtual: $65

Where are you located?

The Grieving Space is based in Northfield, IL and services the Chicagoland area. We offer services in a variety of settings to meet families where they are at. Virtual sessions are offered for select services across the United States.

How many sessions does my child need?

Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of your child and family. While many families benefit from regular weekly sessions, others may prefer or require support on an as-needed basis. I will offer recommendations based on where you are in your journey and adjust them over time to ensure the support remains responsive and meaningful.
